Q&A

Find answers about applying personalization, choosing user IDs, and interpreting predictions.

Will calling the API automatically change my app's screens or messages?

Your app or CRM displays screens and sends messages according to the rules you implement. You can use the predictions and ad attribution returned by CUE as conditions to choose which screen or message to provide. See Using Context for examples.

Which user ID should I send?

Send exactly one of userId, brazeDeviceId, or airbridgeExternalUserId, depending on the ID available in your app. Use the Airbridge Generated UUID for userId, the Device ID from the Braze SDK for brazeDeviceId, or the external user ID your service sent to Airbridge for airbridgeExternalUserId. See User ID mapping in Check Event Tracking to retrieve or connect an ID through the SDK.

Can I receive high purchase and churn tiers for the same user?

Yes. Both purchase and churn likelihoods can be high. A user may purchase within three days after app installation and have no activity after day three through day 30 after app installation. The predictions cover different events, so their probabilities do not need to add up to 100%.

See Using Predictions for the event and time window each model predicts.

Can I get different tiers for the same probability from different models?

Each model uses its own probability distribution to define tiers, so the same probability can have different tiers in the purchase and churn models. Use the returned tier when your rule depends on a tier. See Probabilities and tiers for details.
